A shocking incident unfolded in a Long Island community in New York. Late Wednesday, a father arrived at a luxurious home in St. James, where his ex-wife resided with her boyfriend. He contacted his 15-year-old daughter, instructing her to leave the house and join him in his car. Disturbingly, he then proceeded to enter the residence after concealing himself in the bushes, fired shots, and later informed the teenager of the devastating news that he had taken the lives of her mother and her mother’s partner.

A man named Daniel Coppola, aged 50, is facing two second-degree murder charges in Suffolk County. He is accused of shooting and killing Kelly Coppola, aged 50, and Kenneth “Kenny” Pohlman Jr., aged 53, while they were sleeping in their home on Brasswood Road. It is reported that Daniel had a difficult divorce with Kelly.

A tragic incident occurred at a residence in Long Island, resulting in the loss of lives of Kelly Coppola and Kenneth Pohlman (CBS New York).

A series of alleged events unfolded in a shocking manner, starting with suspect Coppola making a phone call to his daughter, instructing her to vacate the premises before he arrived, as reported by WABC.

Pohlman’s father shared his account of what happened next in an interview with the local ABC affiliate.

According to Kenneth Pohlman, Sr., he left her in the car and went behind the bush. He then broke down the door, carried out his actions, and returned to his daughter, confessing to the murders of her mother and Kenny.

According to Tom Pohlman, the brother of the victim, Kelly Coppola’s ex-partner forcefully entered the house, proceeded upstairs, and fatally shot both Kenneth and her.

According to the report, after the suspect left the house and drove away with his daughter, the teenager reached out to friends via text message. It was these friends who ultimately contacted the police.

According to reports, the girl also made a distress call to 911, expressing concern about her father’s well-being.

He visited the residence on Brasswood Road, lifted the girl, placed her in his vehicle, carried out the killings, and transported her from there to Harbor Road. While in the car, she is exchanging text messages with her friends, expressing her uncertainty about her father’s actions and her mother’s well-being,” Suffolk Police Detective Lt. Kevin Beyrer shared, according to News 12. “They attempt to contact the mother, but are unable to reach her. As a result, they dial 911.”

In the early hours of the morning, authorities discovered the deceased individuals at their home, while apprehending the alleged perpetrator at his residence on Harbor Road.

In accordance with New York law, second-degree murder is defined as intentionally causing the death of another person, committing another crime in the process, or recklessly engaging in conduct that demonstrates a complete disregard for human life and results in the death of another person.

A video from the New York Post was released on Friday, capturing the defendant in handcuffs and jail clothes as he was escorted to a police van without uttering a word.
