BROOKLYN, NY — The NYPD is searching for a suspect who allegedly assaulted an on-duty MTA conductor at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway station in Brooklyn on Wednesday, October 23. The incident occurred around 4:28 p.m. when an unidentified individual on the platform threw an object at the 29-year-old conductor’s face as she operated a northbound G train.
The conductor sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Queens, where she was treated and reported in stable condition. Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the object used in the assault.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
