Seaford, DE Following a traffic stop in Seaford, 19-year-old Asjmeir Fiorentino was arrested by the Delaware State Police on charges of narcotics and firearm violations.
Members of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force noticed Fiorentino’s Ford Edge heading west on Concord Road with a registration problem on Monday at approximately 12:31 p.m. They found that Fiorentino did not have a valid driver’s license after identifying him and stopping the car. Investigators found a marijuana cigar in the car’s central cupholder and smelled burning marijuana.
After the preliminary inquiry, Fiorentino was captured. Several rounds of 9mm ammunition, a Polymer 9mm handgun, an extended magazine, 1.62 grams of crack cocaine, 1.66 grams of marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia were found during a search.
Fiorentino is charged with several offenses, such as carrying a concealed weapon, possessing an undetectable handgun, and possessing a firearm during a felony. After being arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, he was placed under bond of $44,403 and imprisoned at Sussex Correctional Institution.
