Fire Destroys House and Barn in Chester County

WEST NANTMEAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A large barn and house fire on Isabella Road prompted a multi-county emergency response Friday night, according to officials. The Twin Valley Fire Department was initially dispatched to the scene around 9:18 p.m. after multiple reports of visible flames.

Chester County’s 911 Center received calls from witnesses reporting tall flames and the possibility of both a barn and a house on fire. Upon arrival, Chief 69 (Hornberger) confirmed that both structures were fully engulfed and assumed command of the incident. Early concerns about potential entrapment were alleviated when it was determined that the homeowners were accounted for.
