Food delivery driver slashed in the Bronx

New York’s Bronx.According to police, a 38-year-old food delivery worker was robbed and assaulted early on Saturday, May 31, while delivering meals in front of 106 East Burnside Avenue.

Two unidentified individuals approached the victim at approximately four in the morning. According to authorities, one of the attackers stabbed the man multiple times in the left arm with a knife before stealing his electric bicycle.

The estimated value of the bike is $900. The suspects left the location in an unidentified direction following the robbery and attack.

The victim received on-scene treatment for minor cuts after Emergency Medical Services arrived. Officials said he didn’t need to be hospitalized.

According to the police, the two suspects are characterized as medium-skinned males. No further identifying information was made public.

A crime in the Bronx adds to a series of thefts involving early morning deliveries.

Whether this event is related to other recent thefts of delivery workers in the borough has not been confirmed by the NYPD. The inquiry is still underway, and no one has been taken into custody.

According to reports, the victim is assisting detectives and has not been publicly identified.

In order to identify the attackers, police are analyzing surveillance footage from the area and requesting the public’s help.
