Two additional people were hurt and needed medical attention, while another youngster is still in the hospital.

“While we cannot disclose many details on the circumstances of this crash at this time, I can say this is a horrible tragedy for the Morris County community and beyond,” Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll stated.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives, and with those whose lives will undoubtedly be impacted by their loss,” he added.

Heartbreakingly, a GoFundMe page was created to support Yexsel Granados’ family in honor of the “courageous” four-year-old.

“Yxsel was just 4 years old — a sweet, courageous child whose light shone brightly despite the challenges he faced,” according to the page.

“He brought joy, love, and warmth to everyone around him, and his spirit touched many in our community. His loss is a tragedy beyond words.”

According to the GoFundMe page, a motorist exceeding 80 miles per hour struck the school minivan.

Officials have refrained from commenting on the accident’s circumstances.
