Edgewood, Maryland.When the Harford County resident won $6,500 as the Maryland Lottery’s Home Run Riches Contestant of the Game at the Orioles game on June 15, he converted Father’s Day into a huge paycheck.
Edgewood native Rich McFadden was chosen for the program, which gives out $5,000 for a grand slam, $500 for selection, and $500 for each Orioles home run. Ram n Ur’s single home run in the opening inning gave the Orioles an early lead.
Later in the game, Orioles catcher Gary S. Sanchez hit a grand slam in the seventh inning, increasing McFadden’s earnings by $5,000. The total prize sum reached $6,500 after a final home run in the eighth inning.
McFadden used a FAST PLAY Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings ticket to join the contest as part of the Maryland Lottery’s second-chance offer. An already exciting day spent with family and watching Orioles baseball was made even more exciting by the victory.
