North Bergen, New Jersey.A major winter storm is predicted to deliver heavy snow and dangerously low temperatures to the area from Monday through Wednesday, prompting Governor Phil Murphy to proclaim a state of emergency, which will take effect at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday.
According to the North Bergen Police Department, locals should brace themselves for difficult weather, including as heavy snowfall and bitter cold, which could interfere with everyday operations and travel.
To enable snowplows to effectively clear roads, authorities are asking locals to refrain from needless travel, observe safety precautions, and make sure their cars are not parked in yellow zones.
New Jersey is expected to be affected extensively by the predicted storm, and officials have warned that conditions could quickly become dangerous.
In most areas of New Jersey, 3 to 6 inches of snow are predicted to fall.
