Washington, D.C. Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects in a series of armed robberies that occurred Wednesday afternoon in different sections of D.C., sparking an ongoing investigation.
Each time, a suspect got out of a silver Hyundai Sonata that had Maryland license plates, pointed a gun, and had the victims wear clothes. On the same day, the car used in the crimes was found in Southeast, in the 1400 block of Bangor Street.
In a brief period of time, there were robberies at 3:41 p.m. in the vicinity of 4th and Sheridan Street in Northwest, 3:45 p.m. in the 4500 block of Kansas Avenue in Northwest, 4:19 p.m. in the 2500 block of Georgia Avenue in Northwest, and 4:27 p.m. in the vicinity of Eckington Place and Harry Thomas Way in Northeast.
Investigators have made the suspects’ pictures public in the hopes that the public would help identify them based on surveillance footage.
Police want anyone with knowledge to call (202) 727-9099 or text their information to the TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. Up to $10,000 is being given as a reward for information that results in the arrest and conviction of the guilty parties.
