Gunmen Use Stolen Car in Newark Armed Robbery




Newark, New Jersey.Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. said on Saturday that authorities are requesting the public’s help in identifying two male suspects who were involved in an armed robbery that occurred early on November 11.

Around 6:46 a.m., the event happened close to McWhorter and Hamilton Streets. According to police, one of the suspects, dressed in tan jeans, got out of a red 2017 Hyundai Sonata that had been stolen, went up to a male victim, and robbed him while brandishing a revolver.

Police have now recovered the stolen car, which is also thought to have been used in another heist that occurred around the same time at New Jersey Railroad Avenue and Green Street.
