Half-million dollar jackpot won in Northumberland County

NORTHUMBERLAND, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery player from Northumberland County scored a massive online prize of $535,851.39 while playing the Bucks Triple Play game, officials announced Thursday.

The winning play came through the PA Lottery’s online platform, which offers games accessible via mobile device, tablet or desktop. Bucks Triple Play is a connect-style game that contributes to the Unlocked Jackpot and allows players to multiply winnings up to 63 times, unlock 10 free games, and activate bonus rounds.

The winning prize is one of the highest awarded online this year in Pennsylvania.

Online games through the PA Lottery have been available since 2018 and include popular draw games such as Powerball, Mega Millions, and Cash4Life. Players must be 18 or older and meet identity verification requirements to play.

Winners of prizes over $5,000 are subject to applicable taxes. The winner’s identity has not been disclosed, per Pennsylvania Lottery policy.
