High-speed chase in Stafford County leads to multiple charges for driver

Virginia’s Stafford County. A 21-year-old Stafford County man was arrested following a high-speed pursuit late Wednesday night. He is currently facing numerous counts, including DUI, concealed weapon violations, and felony evading.

When Deputy D.S. Jett noticed a black Acura sedan traveling at 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on White Oak Road close to New Hope Church Road around 11:11 p.m., the incident started. The driver, later identified as Michael Louis, refused to stop when the deputy tried to pull him over and instead accelerated, sending officers on a multi-road chase.

Before the suspect turned back toward White Oak Road, the chase wound via Bethel Church Road, New Hope Church Road, and Camp Selden Road. The pursuit was stopped when Deputy S.A. Fulford joined it and used a precise immobilization technique (PIT maneuver) close to Charlie’s Crab House.

Louis, who was previously wanted in Stafford County for failing to show up for court and using a car without permission, was apprehended without incident. Among his new allegations are several traffic infractions, driving while suspended, dangerous driving, and lack of insurance. He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

Additionally, a female adult passenger in the car was taken into custody for both possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication. She remained incarcerated till she sobered up.
