High-Speed Chase in Wisconsin Ends with Arrests After Vehicle Falls from Overpass

Two individuals were apprehended after a police pursuit involving the West Allis police on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 25. The chase came to a halt as the driver collided with an overpass fence.

Police reported that officers noticed a vehicle driving at a significant speed around 11:58 p.m. and tried to pull it over. The driver quickly escaped, merging onto I-894 southbound at W. Greenfield Avenue.

The vehicle that was fleeing exited I-894 at W. Lincoln Avenue. A driver in a fleeing vehicle tried to head east on Lincoln Avenue, but lost control and crashed through the overpass fence, ultimately landing on the freeway.

The driver and passenger were apprehended and transported to a medical facility for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the accident.

Two officers were transported to a medical facility after sustaining injuries while trying to apprehend the suspects.
