On March 1, a Hispanci hybrid video forum was presented by Mi Gente Mi Pueblo, which looks to get Latinos in the Tampa Bay area out to vote, at the Hispanic Outreach Center in Clearwater. The forum showcased the six candidates running for two seats on the City Council. Nearly 6,000 Hispanics and Latinos are registered to vote in Clearwater.
The purpose of the forum was to look into issues concerning the Hispanic community and to increase participation in local elections.
The event was broadcast in English and instantly translated for Spanish-speaking viewers. 10 Tampa Bay’s Angelina Salcedo moderated the event.

City Council Election Day is Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Mail-in ballots need to be returned by March 15 up until 7 p.m. to one of the three Supervisor of Election offices in order to be counted. On Election Day – Tuesday, March 15 – the polls will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
