New Jersey’s Augusta. Skylands Stadium’s annual Light Show and Christmas Village opened Thursday and will provide guests with a joyous mix of holiday cheer and attractions through December 30 on a few occasions.
The Drive-Thru Lightfest, a mile-long spectacle with stunning displays of holiday lights timed to music, is the event’s focal point. The outdoor Christmas Village offers ice skating, carnival attractions, and Santa Claus photo ops for those who would rather not drive.
Along with sampling a range of seasonal foods and beverages, such as hot chocolate and other festive delicacies, guests may also take use of a S mores station and peruse artisan stores offering locally made handicrafts. While entry to the Christmas Village is free, and certain attractions have supplementary fees, the drive-thru area costs $29 per car.
The event is a highlight of the area’s seasonal celebrations, and organizers said in a statement that they are excited to bring families together to enjoy the holidays.
The Skylands Stadium event is expected to become a popular location for Christmas enjoyment in northern New Jersey because of its combination of light displays, winter activities, and festive fare.
