Scott County, IN – Scott County Sheriff’s deputies and Indiana State Police detectives have discovered human remains on a wooded property, authorities announced Tuesday. The site, located near where missing resident Amanda D. Martin was last seen in September, may hold the key to her disappearance.
According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, forensic experts are examining the remains to determine a positive identification and possible cause of death. Sheriff Jerry Goodin stated that the examination could take approximately six to eight weeks to complete.
The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities examining all leads. Police urge anyone with information on Martin’s case to contact the Scott County Sheriff’s Office at 812-752-5550. Callers can remain anonymous.
