Around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, a bystander heard cries for assistance emanating from a manhole close to San Bernardino’s Carousel Mall. After the 911 call was placed, emergency personnel swiftly arrived on the site. The woman was injured in the accident and had been stuck overnight after falling 15 to 20 feet down the pit.

She told rescuers that the incident happened the night before, but assistance didn’t get to her until the next morning. The woman was imprisoned below in excruciating pain, and until a bystander heard her misery, her calls for help were the only indication that someone was alive.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded promptly after arriving. A 100-foot aerial ladder is placed up by firefighters to start the intricate rescue procedure. The Woman s Condition and Transport to Trauma Center

The woman was taken to a nearby trauma facility in moderate condition following the grueling rescue attempt. The entire rescue was finished in less than 90 minutes, despite the operation’s complexity and difficulties. According to a statement from the fire service, firefighters managed to safely rescue the patient in less than 90 minutes in spite of all the difficulties they encountered.
