Idaho Winter Storm Warning: Heavy Snowfall and Hazardous Travel in Island Park

By this evening, 4 to 9 inches of heavy snow are predicted to build, with nearly a foot falling at higher elevations. Conditions will be made worse by gusty winds, which will result in snow drifting and blowing. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service and will remain in force until 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service predicts that Monday commutes will be disrupted by the dangerous circumstances. Drifting snow can make roads slick and limit vision. Drivers are advised to exercise caution when driving and to pack necessities including food, water, and flashlights.
