Injured man seeks help from police after Baltimore shooting




MDA BALTIMORE After shooting broke out in Northeast Baltimore on Saturday night, a 33-year-old man who had been shot in the leg sought assistance from a police officer, which prompted an investigation.

A Northeast District officer was on a regular business check in the 5400 block of Radecke Avenue when he heard gunfire at approximately 9:36 p.m. Shortly after, the victim came up to the police and told him he had been shot.

Before the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the officer provided first aid on the spot by placing a tourniquet to his leg. The incident took place in the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue, according to authorities.

Although specifics of the shooting’s circumstances are still unknown, Northeast District shooting investigators are in charge of the investigation.
