Investigation Launched into Fatal Shooting in Upper Marlboro




Maryland’s Upper Marlboro Joseph Campbell, 57, was killed in a gunshot in Upper Marlboro last Tuesday, and the Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the incident.

Police were called to a report on the 14200 block of Barenton Drive at around 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived, they discovered Campbell shot and declared dead in a carport.

According to investigations, Campbell was acquainted with the person who allegedly shot him. While no charges have been filed as officials consult with the State’s Attorney’s Office, the shooter has stayed at the scene and is assisting law enforcement.
