For the Jackson Township Recreation Committee, the Jackson Township Council is looking for qualified applicants. This group is composed of regular citizens who wish to assist the township in enhancing the town’s public parks and recreational opportunities.
Residents can get together on a regular basis to discuss the condition of the township’s recreation services on this volunteer advisory board.
Council President Jennifer Kuhn stated, “We are resuming this committee in order to get direct feedback from the citizens who utilize our parks and recreational services.” We always welcome feedback from the locals on how to make our parks and recreation inventory better, as well as suggestions for future additions and insightful comments on what our residents enjoy—and dislike—about our parks.According to Kuhn, the township has been able to enhance the parks, construct new playgrounds, collaborate with the school district on playground upgrades, and even pinpoint potential future park and field needs by working closely with sports leagues, teams, and other community organizations over the past few years.According to Council President Mordechai Burnstein, this is a fantastic chance for everyone who has a strong interest in our parks and community. We will announce the new committee at a future council meeting, and anyone is invited to submit their name. We want to get started right away and make the most of all available grants and other possibilities to further enhance our parks.
To apply, residents must go to the Jackson Township website and complete the Citizen Leadership Form.
