New Jersey’s Jackson Township. The Township Council and Mayor are encouraging citizens to volunteer for one of Jackson Township’s commissions or advisory boards in order to give back to their community. By December 20, 2024, interested parties are urged to submit a Citizen Leadership Form.

The township’s official website has the Citizen Leadership Form in the Forms, Licenses, and Permits area. Candidates should fill out the form completely and, if possible, include a resume. The township is looking for volunteers for a number of committees, such as the Multicultural Committee, Veterans Commission, Planning Board, Zoning Board, Environmental Commission, and Historical Commission. These boards give locals a chance to get involved in important issues including community services, environmental preservation, and economic development.

According to the release from the mayor’s office, this is a fantastic chance for locals to become involved with the community and contribute to the direction of Jackson Township.
