The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that a man was taken into custody on Friday after shooting and killing a lady close to Blanton and Sacks Drive.
At approximately 4:44 p.m., a man called 911 to report that he had shot someone on the spot. When police arrived, they found two cars parked in the street and two women who had been shot.
Medical staff declared one woman dead at the site, and the other victim was sent to Sunrise Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
Adrian Rodriguez-Guillen, 41, was apprehended at the site without incident after police recognized him as the suspect.
Rodriguez-Guillen approached his ex-wife and her girlfriend, got out of his car, and shot both ladies before he called the police, according to detectives.
The identify of the deceased victim and the official cause of death will be made public by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
The inquiry is being led by the LVMPD Homicide Section.
