Video footage has emerged featuring Jon Bon Jovi coming to the aid of a woman perched on the edge of a bridge in downtown Nashville, as shared by the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).
Officials reported that the incident occurred on Tuesday, September 10, at the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
Officials reported that a 36-year-old woman was attempting to leap from the bridge. Footage captures multiple individuals passing the woman prior to the arrival of Bon Jovi and a member of his film crew.
Bon Jovi and the acquaintance are spotted having a discussion with the woman before suddenly seizing her and yanking her back over the bridge railing.
The woman successfully navigated the railing and was spotted conversing with the music icon, who welcomed her with a warm embrace.
“We all have a role to play in ensuring each other’s safety,” stated Metro Police Chief John Drake.
Authorities reported that the woman was transported to a nearby hospital for medical care. No additional details were provided.
