Police Respond to Fatal Shooting Incident
The Northfield Township Police Department reports that at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police were dispatched to a residence located on the 2000 block of Nollar Bend Road.
When they arrived, they found two people inside the house dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. After being shot as well, a third victim was discovered alive but in severe condition and sent right away to a hospital for emergency treatment.
Children Abducted During Violent Incident
Officers discovered that two children had been taken from the house during the course of the inquiry. To find the kids and capture the suspects, the Northfield Township Police, Ann Arbor Police Department, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, and Michigan State Police all joined forces.
The two kidnapped youngsters were successfully found by law authorities following a comprehensive nighttime search. The children’s present state has not been made public; they were brought to a hospital for assessment.
Suspects Detained, Investigation Ongoing
During the search, three individuals were found and taken into custody. According to authorities, the investigation is still ongoing, and the case will be reviewed by the Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Until the families of the victims have been notified, police have not yet disclosed the identity of the suspects or the victims.
