Lanham Grandfather Wins $100K Top Prize on Money Rush Scratch-off

Lanham, MD — A lucky Prince George’s County man, who goes by “Winning Papa,” took home a $100,000 top prize after purchasing a Money Rush scratch-off ticket.

The longtime Lottery player, accompanied by his daughter, bought the $10 Money Rush ticket at Economy Liquors on Lanham Severn Road. Instead of scratching the ticket, he scanned the barcode, which prompted a message to see the retailer. The cashier confirmed his big win—$100,000.

The retired mechanic plans to pay bills and save the rest, with the possibility of a vacation in the future. Economy Liquors will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Five more $100,000 top prizes remain in the Money Rush game.
