DEL LINCOLN.According to police, a 32-year-old Lincoln man is in arrest after he allegedly stole a delivery truck on Saturday morning, crashed it into a car at a red light, and then fled the scene on foot.
On November 23, at around 9:29 a.m., Delaware State Police were called to a hit-and-run incident at Dupont Boulevard and Johnson Road. Investigators found that David Frasier had stolen a Ford Econoline delivery truck on Johnson Road that was empty when its driver was delivering a cargo. After that, Frasier drove the truck west and struck a BMW on Dupont Boulevard that was stopped at a red signal.
According to the police, Frasier drove recklessly and dumped items onto the road as he went north on Dupont Boulevard after fleeing the crash scene in the stolen truck. After a little while, he got out of the car and tried to escape on foot. Officers from the Milford Police Department found and arrested Frasier without any more incident after witnesses gave a description of the suspect.
Authorities report that none of the BMW’s occupants were hurt. Frasier was identified as the suspect in both the theft and the hit-and-run incident after more investigation.
After being transported to Troop 7, Frasier was charged with a number of felonies, including four counts of motor vehicle theft and reckless endangerment, in addition to a number of traffic infractions. He is being jailed at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $42,506 cash bond after being arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3.
