Linthicum Heights stabbing leads to arrest of 24-year-old suspect

Md. Linthicum Heights. After a stabbing incident at the Sonesta Suites BWI hotel on January 21, 2025, which injured the victim and the suspect, a 24-year-old male has been taken into custody.

Officers were called to the hotel on Winterson Road at around 4:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing. Investigators concluded that the altercation resulted from a continuing argument between the suspect and the victim, a 49-year-old man they knew. The victim was stabbed by the suspect, Jahmai Tai Devon, who took out a knife during the confrontation.

Devon also suffered a self-harm injury during the assault. Due to non-life-threatening injuries, emergency personnel sent both guys to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

After Devon was discharged from the hospital, a warrant for his arrest was obtained and served.
