Man arrested for weapons violations after trespassing in Glen Burnie park

MDA Glen Burnie When police found guns and ammunition in a Glen Burnie man’s car Sunday night as he was trespassing in a nearby park after hours, they arrested him.

At around 7:30 p.m. on December 1, officers on normal patrol in Old Mill Southgate Park noticed a silver Chevrolet Equinox parked inside the park, which was closed at the time. Officers searched the car and discovered a 9mm Taurus G2C semi-automatic handgun, a 7.62 x 39 Draco rifle, multiple high-capacity magazines, and extra ammunition.

The driver was arrested and charged with firearms charges; he was identified as Glen Burnie resident Kalvyn Andre Giggetts, 28.
