Man critically injured in Clairton shooting, police investigating

CLAIRTON, Pa. — Allegheny County Police are looking into a gunshot that occurred in Clairton on Wednesday afternoon and left a man gravely injured.

At 1:35 p.m., police reported receiving a report of a shooting in the 300 block of New York Avenue. Inside a house, responding police and paramedics discovered a male adult who had been shot in the face.

After being sent to a neighboring hospital, the victim’s condition is still critical but stable. The incident is being investigated by the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit.
