Columbus, Ohio According to authorities, a shooting occurred early on Saturday morning while a 44-year-old man was sitting in a van parked outside an apartment building on the 2900 block of Dana Drive.
Following reports of shooting, officers arrived on the location on November 16, 2024, at around 1:43 a.m. When emergency personnel arrived, they declared Robert Roderick Smith, the victim, dead.
Following the shooting, witnesses gave differing versions of the suspect’s movements. Some said the person ran on foot, while others said the culprit drove off in a white automobile heading east on Dana Drive toward North Gould Road.
