Man fatally shot on Benning Road in Northeast D.C.

Washington, D.C. According to police, a 31-year-old man without a known address was shot and killed on Benning Road in the Northeast on Monday afternoon.

Following reports of a shooting, Fifth District officers arrived at the 1800 block of Benning Road at around 3:49 p.m. on December 30. They discovered Damion Hill, the victim, unconscious and with gunshot wounds when they arrived.

After arriving on the scene, DC Fire and EMS concluded that the subject did not appear to be alive. At the scene, Hill was declared deceased. No information regarding a suspect or possible motive for the shooting has been released by the police.

Police are requesting anyone with knowledge to call them at (202) 727-9099 as the investigation is still ongoing. Additionally, anonymous tips can be texted to 50411. They are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that results in an arrest and conviction.
