Man fatally stabbed in DC after walking into police station for help

Washington, D.C. According to authorities, a 24-year-old man who had been stabbed died early Tuesday after entering a Northeast police station.

At around 1:05 a.m., the victim—who was named as Joziah Thurman from Northeast—entered the Sixth District police station, where officers promptly provided assistance. Thurman was declared dead despite the attempts of DC Fire and EMS to save his life.

The stabbing happened inside a house in the 800 block of 49th Street, Northeast, according to detectives. No other information has been made public on the suspect or the situation.
