Man fatally stabbed near Livonia Avenue in East New York

BROOKLYN, N.Y.A 33-year-old man diedSaturdayafter being stabbed in the torso in East New York, according to the NYPD.

Around 3:29 p.m., police responded to a 911 call. reporting a male stabbed near the intersection of Livonia Avenue and Cleveland Street in the 75th Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a stab wound to his torso.

Emergency medical personnel transported the man to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.

As of Sunday morning, no suspects had been apprehended, and the circumstances surrounding the stabbing are still unknown.

A fatal stabbing in East New York is being investigated.

Detectives were at the scene throughout the evening, canvassing the area for witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage from nearby buildings and businesses. Police have not revealed whether there was a quarrel involved in the incident or any possible motives.
