Man found shot, dead behind building in Far Rockaway




ROCKAWAY, N.Y. The New York Police Department reports that a 35-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday morning behind a residence in Far Rockaway, Queens.

At around 3:04 a.m., officers received a 911 call reporting that a man had been shot in the back of 1025 Beach 20th Street. The guy had many gunshot wounds to the chest when the cops arrived.

The man was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center by emergency medical personnel, where authorities said he was declared dead. Until the appropriate family notification is given, the deceased’s identity is being kept secret.

Detectives are still looking into the shooting’s circumstances, and as of Sunday, no one had been arrested by the police.

As the search for the shooter continues, the NYPD is asking anyone with information on the event to get in touch with them.
