Man hospitalized after early-morning stabbing on Benning Road in Southeast DC




Washington, DC Police say a guy was stabbed early Wednesday morning on Benning Road near Minnesota Avenue in Southeast and is currently recovering in the hospital.

The incident happened on December 11 at approximately 4 a.m. The victim had been stabbed and was aware and breathing when the officers arrived on the scene. He was taken to the hospital by medics to receive treatment.

Police got a second report of an injured person who was brought to the hospital as the inquiry progressed. Additional information regarding the incident has not yet been made public by officials.

A gunfire occurred in the 4600 block of Benning Road on Tuesday, which was followed by this stabbing. The two incidents are unrelated, according to police.
