Man injured in shooting outside Glen Burnie bar


GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A 45-year-old man was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning outside Frank’s Den on Crain Highway, according to Anne Arundel County police. The victim, whose name has not been released, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to a report of a physical altercation at approximately 1:35 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds. The incident reportedly began as an altercation between two male suspects dressed in dark clothing, which escalated into gunfire, striking the victim.

The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. Several shell casings were recovered at the scene.


Eastern District detectives are investigating the incident. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-222-6135 or to call the anonymous Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
