Washington, DC In Southeast Washington, where the D.C. and Maryland state lines converge, a collision early Tuesday morning on Southern Avenue close to Reed Terrace left a man dead and an adolescent child ill.
The collision happened on December 10 at around 4:12 a.m. Both people were discovered trapped inside the car by Prince George’s County Fire Department and DC Fire and EMS responders. The two occupants were rescued by first responders working together.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the man was taken to a hospital and passed away from his wounds. Despite his non-life-threatening injuries, the teenage kid was admitted to the hospital as well and is anticipated to recover.
A weapon was found at the site, and MPD’s Major Crash Unit discovered throughout the investigation that the collision included a stolen vehicle.
