Man on Probation Faces Charges After Damaging Women's Restroom at Local Restaurant

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Daniel Don Green, 54, was arrested on Sunday and charged with property damage after allegedly kicking out the bottom portion of a stall door in the women’s restroom at El Patio (18576 High Springs Main St).

At about 12:44 p.m. on October 20, a High Springs Police Department officer responded to the restaurant, where the owner said Green had gone into the women’s bathroom and kicked out the bottom portion of the stall door.

The damage is estimated at $175.

Post Miranda, Green reportedly admitted that he had intentionally damaged the door and entered the women’s bathroom.

Green, who is described as homeless on the arrest report, has nine felony convictions (none violent) and 19 misdemeanor convictions (one violent).

He has served one state prison sentence and was released in 2002; he is currently on probation for grand theft. Judge Kristine Van Vorst set bail at $5,000.
