Brooklyn, New York.On a northbound F train early Tuesday morning, a group of people with a baseball bat, a knife, and pieces of timber robbed a 44-year-old man, police said.
The train was approaching the Bensonhurst subway station on 18th Avenue at around 6:00 a.m. when the tragedy happened. The group allegedly confronted the victim, showed off their guns, and stole his iPhone by force, according to the police.
The F Train is the same line where an illegal immigrant killed Debrina Kawam, 57, of Toms River, New Jersey, by setting her on fire.
After pushing the victim from the subway vehicle onto the platform at the 18th Avenue station, the attackers continued to ride the southbound train to an unidentified location. According to officials, the victim was unharmed during the incident.
As of Thursday, no arrests had been made, and the culprits are still unidentified. As part of the probe, the NYPD is looking into security footage from the subway system.
