An individual on a bicycle assaulted a man, causing him to lose consciousness, and proceeded to steal from the victim on a street in Brooklyn, as reported by the police on Friday.
An alarming incident took place shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday near Metropolitan Avenue and Manhattan Avenue in Williamsburg.
An individual approached the victim on a Citi Bike and struck him on the right side of the head, causing him to lose consciousness, as reported by the NYPD.
The thief proceeded to steal from the man, taking his wallet and cash.
The thief quickly made his escape by hopping back on the bicycle.
According to law enforcement, he remains at large.

The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital and received medical attention for facial injuries.
