Man shot during attempted carjacking at Beltway Plaza Mall in Greenbelt




A man was shot Saturday afternoon during an attempted carjacking in the back parking lot of the Beltway Plaza Mall in Greenbelt, according to police in Prince George S. County, Maryland.

Three young lads allegedly approached the man as he was getting into his car at approximately 4 p.m. on November 23. His car keys were requested by the armed suspects. They fled on foot toward Berwyn Heights after shooting the man in the lower torso for defying orders.

After providing life-saving treatment and applying two tourniquets, the responding officers took the sufferer to a nearby hospital. According to authorities, the man’s condition is stable as of Monday morning and he should get better.
