NEWARK, DEA gunshot at the Biden Welcome Center on the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway early on Sunday morning is being looked into by Delaware State Police.
An unidentified suspect or suspects approached a 45-year-old male from Goshen, New York, in the parking lot at approximately 7 a.m. on December 1, 2024. Police said the victim was shot after being robbed.
The victim was discovered by troopers resting outside a Starbucks in the service area. After being taken to a neighboring hospital, he is receiving treatment for what are said to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated by investigators from the Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit of the Delaware State Police. Police are asking anyone who has information to come forward, but they do not currently have a description of the culprit or suspects.
