Man shot in knee on Stella Street refuses to cooperate with investigators

The city of Philadelphia According to police, a man who was shot in the knee late Wednesday night in North Philadelphia was taken to the hospital but has not disclosed any information about the event.

On June 18, at around 10:45 p.m., 39th District officers were called to the 2000 block of West Stella Street in response to reports of a guy being shot. Officers discovered the victim, who was described as being quite drunk, with a gunshot wound to his right knee.

After being taken to Temple University Hospital, his condition was described as stable.

According to the police, the man was uncooperative and provided no explanation for how or why the incident took place. There were no witnesses found at the spot.

Shooting Investigation Group handling case

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group has been given the case and is currently looking into the shooting’s circumstances.

No weapon was found at the scene, and no one has been taken into custody.

Authorities have not stated whether they think the victim was singled out or whether they think the shooting was self-inflicted or an accident.
