Man shot inside Baltimore home as suspect is taken into custody

Baltimore, Maryland Charles Ward III, 26, has been charged by police with attempted first-degree murder in connection with a gunshot that occurred in Baltimore’s Northwest District on Sunday morning.

The event took place inside a house in the 3600 block of Bowers Avenue on December 1 at around 9:29 a.m. A 23-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his left thigh was discovered by officers responding to shooting complaints.

After being taken to a nearby hospital, the victim’s status was described as stable. Responding officers found a weapon during the inquiry and arrested Ward without incident at the spot.

Ward is charged with shooting the victim after a fight inside the house, according to confirmation from the authorities. Since then, he has been taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he is being charged with attempted first-degree murder.
