Man shot on roadway near Presidential Boulevard in Philadelphia


PHILADELPHIA

— A man was shot on a highway in the area of 4100 Presidential Boulevard on Tuesday evening, prompting a swift response from police in the 19th District.

Authorities said officers arrived at the scene at approximately 5:51 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police transported the victim to Lankenau Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition as of Tuesday night. The identity of the victim has not been released, and it remains unclear what led to the shooting.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and authorities have not identified a suspect. Police have also not confirmed whether the shooting occurred from a moving vehicle or if it was road-related.

Investigators were seen examining the area around Presidential Boulevard as traffic was rerouted away from the scene during the response.
