New York’s Bronx. In broad daylight Wednesday, a guy in the Bronx robbed a lady of a $1,200 necklace and then brandished his gun when she resisted, according to police.
The event happened at the junction of East Tremont Avenue and Jerome Avenue on June 11 at approximately 3:35 p.m. Police said an unidentified person approached the 25-year-old victim from behind and took the necklace off her neck.
The guy brandished a gun and ran west on East Tremont Avenue when the victim tried to get the jewelry back. There were no reported injuries.
The suspect is described as a man in his 40s who has a fair complexion. When last spotted, he was dressed in dark jeans, black sneakers, and a black t-shirt.
Police searching for armed robbery suspect
The NYPD is currently looking into and analyzing local surveillance material. There have been no arrests.
Officers were informed by the victim that the stolen necklace was valued at around $1,200. Police did not say if there was a verbal exchange during the incident or if the firearm was discharged.
