Maryland Man Arrested Following Rehoboth Beach Crash


Rehoboth Beach, DE – Delaware State Police apprehended 39-year-old Kevin Graves of Fort Washington, Maryland following a crash in Rehoboth Beach on Sunday night.

On Sunday, at around 6:37 p.m., a state trooper observed a white Ford Flex speeding south on Coastal Highway without headlights. After stopping the car, the driver, Kevin Graves, initially complied but then sped off, leading to a pursuit that was eventually called off. The Flex continued recklessly, ultimately crashing into four vehicles at a red light on the highway.

An 18-year-old woman from Georgetown, Delaware, was injured in the incident and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Kevin Graves fled the scene on foot but was later apprehended nearby. He faces multiple charges, including disregarding a police officer’s signal, resisting arrest with violence, vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an injury crash, reckless driving, and several other traffic violations. He was arraigned and is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $4,700 secured bond.
