Maryland Winter Weather Alert: Snow Expected in Talbot and Caroline Counties Until Thursday

Easton, Maryland Up to two inches of snow are predicted for Caroline and Talbot counties between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening, according to a winter weather alert.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey, predicts that snowfall will start at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and last until 6 p.m. on Thursday. Travel conditions could be dangerous due to the storm, especially on Wednesday nights and Thursday mornings.

On potentially slick roads, officials advise drivers to slow down and exercise caution. For updates, commuters should monitor Maryland’s 511 road conditions hotline and factor in additional travel time.

Even little amounts of snow can cause slick roads and poor visibility, even though total amounts are predicted to be low. Residents should travel with caution and be ready for any delays.

Although Maryland has mostly spared significant snowfall this season, this caution is part of a trend of winter storms that strike the Mid-Atlantic. Particularly on untreated roads, drivers should be on the lookout for any icy patches and stay vigilant about changing conditions.
