Maryland’s Cecil County. Authorities claim that a Conowingo woman purposefully set her estranged boyfriend’s travel trailer on fire last week, leading to several felony charges against her. After the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office conducted an investigation, 39-year-old Krysti Nicole Dabravalskas was charged on Monday.
Dabravalskas is accused of setting a 1986 Fleetwood Yukon travel trailer on the grounds of a marital quarrel on Friday night, November 29. Investigators estimate that the trailer’s total destruction caused damages of $2,000 or more. There was no call to the fire department.
Dabravalskas was the victim of a domestic assault in the Conowingo unit block of Eckman Lane, which prompted Maryland State Police to attend to the scene on Saturday night. When troopers discovered the suspected arson during the inquiry, they asked the Office of the State Fire Marshal to investigate the fire’s origin.
In addition to a second-degree assault charge related to the domestic dispute, Dabravalskas is charged with second-degree arson, first-degree malicious burning, arson threat, and malicious destruction of property over $1,000. She can be sentenced to up to 28 years in jail and fined more than $32,000 if found guilty.
As she awaits her upcoming court date, Dabravalskas is being held at the Cecil County Detention Center without bond.
